Don’t get caught snoozing this Christmas! A dazzling production of Sleeping Beauty is coming to King George’s Hall!

15 Nov 2018

Stageworks Worldwide Productions will return to King George’s Hall in 2018 with the breath-taking Sleeping Beauty, following their sell-out production of Beauty and the Beast in 2017.

Winner of The Voice 2016 and newly announced frontman of Wet Wet Wet, Kevin Simm will also return for his sixth Christmas to play our handsome Prince Phillip. Jennifer Greene, who stunned audiences as Belle in 2017, will take the role of our beautiful Princess Aurora.

This year, we have a new dame joining our cast – oh yes, we have! With the help of ITV, Del Wilden will be starring as everyone’s favourite panto character: The Dame!

Del, a flight attendant from Wirral, auditioned for the role on ITV’s The Big Audition in October, and made quite the impression on the judges with his flamboyant acting, bright pink wig and playful sense of humour, which ultimately won him the role.

Set in a magical castle, deep in an enchanted forest, a beautiful sleeping princess is cursed by a wicked fairy, and only a kiss from her prince can break the spell.

Can you help the good fairies wake the Princess with a kiss from her true love, Prince Phillip, and rescue her from a deep sleep before it’s too late?

Audiences can forward to a unique show, bursting with singing, dancing, acrobatics and plenty of magic! With charming costumes, stunning sets, laugh-out-loud jokes, and true to panto form, brilliant goodies and badies, this heart-warming story is sure to make your Christmas magical!

Magically awaken your dreams this festive season with a happy ever after!
